If a Philadelphia 76er fan was concerned about the health of forwards Elton Brand and Thaddeus Young at the conclusion of Saturday's Game 1 loss to the Boston Celtics, 92-91. Your worst fears were eased on Sunday, when head coach Doug Collins said that both Brand and Young are expected to play in Monday's Game 2.
Concerns about Brand's health arose when he did not play in the final 21 minutes Saturday, however, Collins said it wasn't because of his recent battle with neck spasms. Instead, it was the Celtics using a small lineup and Lavoy Allen playing well.
Meanwhile, Young sprained his ankle in the first half when Celtics' Ryan Hollins kneed him in the shin and his ankled buckled. From there, he was rendered useless in the second totaling five points and zero rebounds.
