The 76ers are looking to seize control of their series on Wednesday night against the favored Celtics in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

It's impossible to have played a more even two games than these teams have thus far.

The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics have defeated each another by one in this series, setting up a pivotal Game Three in the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Wednesday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Sixers need to continue playing defense oriented basketball with continued good showings from Evan Turner and Andre Iguodala if they want to advance deep into these playoffs. So far, both have lived up to expectations.

Doug Collins has done an excellent job of creating a sense of belief. Philly clearly believes it should be winning this series after giving Game One away, and looks like a tough out going forward.

Boston needs to be more competitive early in games. The Sixers have taken the initiative in both contests, with the Celtics trying to come from behind and steal it away in the end.

Paul Pierce needs to play like a future Hall of Fame player after having a dismal Game Two, where he scored just seven points. Kevin Garnett has been playing like he's found the fountain of youth, but now is the time for Pierce to stand and be counted.

An eighth seed hasn't advanced to the Conference Finals since the New York Knicks accomplished that feat in 1999 on their way to the NBA Finals. The Sixers are looking to duplicate that success, which also happened in a strike-shortened year.
