The Philadelphia 76ers could very well draft a big man with their first-round selection (No. 15 overall) in the 2012 NBA Draft. If they do, president of basketball operations Rod Thorn said on Tuesday, they'd like to grab an athletic one.
#Sixers Rod Thorn: "You’d like to get an athletic guy if you go big. Our bigs aren’t super athletic."

#Sixers Rod Thorn: "If we can get an athletic big who can rebound, help defensively and make a jump shot, that’d be a coup for us."

Thorn also said there are "two, three guys that bring excitement" to the Sixers, and he hopes at least one of them will remain available when the Sixers select.
Athletic bigs in the draft class who might drop to Philadelphia's pick include Meyers Leonard of Illinois and Tyler Zeller of North Carolina. Both are projected as late lottery picks, but could fall to the Sixers at No. 15.
