2012 NBA Mock Draft: Sixers Linked Again To Perry Jones III

With the 2012 NBA Draft only one day away, mock drafts are coming out in full force. One of the nest mockers out there is Jonathan Givony of Yahoo, and he has the Philadelphia 76ers taking Perry Jones III at the 15th overall pick.

Jones is an athletic freak-of-nature who brings a nice blend of explosiveness and shooting ability to the table. The Baylor product would be a great fit on the Sixers, since they're in desperate need of someone who can make defenders think twice about leaving the post for even a second.

Spencer Hawes is most likely on his way out of town and Elton Brand clearly isn't the man you want as the dominant inside presence anymore. Jones is 6-foot-11 and at just 233 pounds, has plenty of room to fill out his frame.

The one concern about Jones is his ability to be tough in the paint, something that head coach Doug Collins will have to make sure doesn't become a reality.

However if Jones is available when Philadelphia is ready to pick, the team would have to think long and hard about passing up this type of talent.
