Dorell Wright Trade: Jarrett Jack, Hornets Added To Deal; Alterations Shouldn't Impact Philadelphia 76ers

Stay connected for news and updates

The trade that will bring Dorell Wright to the Philadelphia 76ers has been expanded to include the New Orleans Hornets, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

The 76ers will not be impacted by the alterations to the deal, as they will still acquire Wright while surrendering the rights to Bosnian forward Edin Bavcic (a 2006 draftee of the Toronto Raptors). The original framework of the deal was to send Bavcic to the Golden State Warriors, but he will now go to the New Orleans Hornets, who in exchange will ship guard Jarrett Jack to the Warriors.

The Hornets will clear Jack's $5.4 million salary off their cap, while potentially clearing back court minutes for talented rookie Austin Rivers out of Duke.

Wright averaged 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds last year in Golden State. Jack averaged 15.6 points and 6.3 assists with the Hornets.
