2012 NBA Free Agency: Nick Young To Sign With 76ers, According To Reports

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed in principle to sign Los Angeles Clippers guard Nick Young, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. While the terms of the contract have yet to be finalized, Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that Young will sign a one-year contract for around $6 million dollars.

In 62 games between the Clippers and the Washington Wizards, Young averaged 14.2 points and 2.1 rebounds a game for the two franchises. While Young was a starter in Washington, the Clippers utilized Young as their three-point specialist off the bench. Young had a few big moments with the Clippers during their postseason run, including his three three-pointers during Los Angeles' 21-point fourth quarter come-from-behind-win against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Young will compete for minutes on the wing against players that include Andre Iguodala, Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young and rookie Maurice Harkless.
