After another disappointing loss, the Philadelphia Eagles were ranked 22nd in SB Nation's Week 6 NFL Power Rankings.

After another disappointing loss in Week Five, the Philadelphia Eagles were ranked 22nd in SB Nation's Week 6 NFL Power Rankings.

22. Philadelphia Eagles (1-4, LW: 20): It's Week 6 and the Eagles face a must-win game against the Redskins. That's not good.

The Eagles (1-4) will likely be without defensive end Trent Cole and lineman Jason Peters against the Redskins. Andy Reid said it would be "a stretch" for either player to suit up.

Meanwhile, defensive coordinator Juan Castillo has come under heat following the Eagles Week Five loss. With the Eagles currently 27th in the NFL in points allowed per game, an ESPN report mentioned that the Eagles might hire a "defensive consultant" to help Castillo.

The Eagles today denied that the team will hire a consultant, but the team's defensive statistics need to improve if the Eagles have any chance to put the pieces of a crumbling season back together. (stats via ESPN)

The Eagles are ranked 15th in overall defense, 30th against the run and tied for 27th in points allowed. Although the unit is tied for second with 16 sacks, it has forced just five turnovers (three interceptions, two fumbles).
