Nnamdi Asomugha wears the #24 jersey for the Eagles, which was previously worn by Sheldon Brown who was known for being a big hitter and a tough tackler. In fact, his legendary hit on Reggie Bush was immortalized with it's own Sports Illustrated cover.

So It was nice to see Nnamdi Asoumgha do the #24 proud with this huge shot on Redskins TE Chris Cooley. In fact, Cooley left the game afterward and was later diagnosed with a broken hand. Over the past few weeks, the Eagles defense has endured a deserved deluge criticism about their poor tackling and lack of aggressiveness on defense. Certainly Nnamdi Asomugha set a tone early on that those problems wouldn't be problems this afternoon.
