Week 7 NFL Power Rankings - Eagles Improve To The 21 Slot

Stay connected for news and updates

The SB Nation NFL power rankings are out. Find out why the Eagles are only up a single spot despite the win over divisional rival Washington Redskins.

The Philadelphia Eagles haven't been able to live up to expectations thus far this year. After winning in the first week, they dropped four straight games in extremely close and disappointing losses. They finally rebounded on Sunday, looking great over their divisional rival, the Washington Redskins. The team came together and hopefully they will come out of the bye week with the same intensity they played with in this past week. The win also allowed them to move up a spot from last week's power rankings, settling in at 21.

In the NFC East, the Giants jumped up two spots from 13 to 11 after a close win over the Buffalo Bills, winning by a late field goal. The Redskins dropped five spots from 9 to 14 because of the loss to the Eagles at home. The Skins need to pick up a win this upcoming week against the Carolina Panthers before facing the Bills and 49ers in back to back games. The Cowboys dropped only a single spot, from 18 to 19, because they have lost by a total of 11 points this season.

Check out the SB Nation power rankings to see how the team stacks up against the rest of the league.
