A trade offer would have to be "exceptional" for the Philadelphia Eagles to part ways with cornerback Asante Samuel, reports Reuben Frank of Comcast Sports Philadelphia.
The Eagles are open to trading all-pro cornerback Asante Samuel before Tuesday's trade deadline, but no deal is imminent and the offer would have to be exceptional to pry Samuel away, a league source said.
Samuel led the NFC with seven interceptions last year despite missing five games, but has just one so far this season. He is set to earn $5.9 million this year, $8.4 million 2012 and $10.4 million in 2013. Trade rumors have surrounded him since the Eagles acquired Asomugha and Rodgers-Cromartie this offseason.
