SB Nation released their power rankings for week 8 and the Philadelphia Eagles are up a spot coming off a bye week.

The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the fortunate teams that benefitted from the bye week in the power rankings. Due to other the Tennessee Titans getting blown out by the Houston Texans, the Eagles were able to break into the top 20. They face a must win situation with their game against the Dallas Cowboys this week. The NFC East is extremely tight at the moment and a win over the Cowboys is needed with the tough upcoming stretch against the Cowboys, Bears, and Giants

The rest of the NFC East saw movement this week as well. The Redskins dropped 5 spots to 19 following the loss to the Carolina Panthers. The Cowboys are up to the 16 spot following a win against the St. Louis Rams. The Giants were the big winners moving into the top 10 following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss to Chicago in England. With the divisional standing as tight as they are, every game truly matters to the playoff picture.
