Michael Vick missed practice Wednesday after experiencing soreness in his broken ribs.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, who returned to the field to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins after missing three games with a set of broken ribs, missed practice on Wednesday after experiencing soreness following the game.

Coach Andy Reid remained confident that Vick will be the team's starting quarterback this weekend, when the Eagles host the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon. But the lefty's availability will likely still depend on how he progresses throughout the remainder of the week.

"He's a little tender from the game," Reid said.

Vick completed 15 of 30 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown and one interception against Miami on Sunday, but the Eagles won comfortably, 26-10. The Pro Bowl quarterback missed three games after suffering broken ribs against Arizona, and the Eagles were 1-2 in his absence.
