Eagles Vs. Cowboys Score Update: Eagles Up 14-0 At Halftime

A five yard touchdown pass from Michael Vick to Jeremy Maclin with five seconds left in the first half gave the Philadelphia Eagles a 14-0 lead over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night. The Eagles started the drive at their own 13, and moved down the field on six plays in 50 seconds, completing passes for gains of 22, 33 and 27 before the final pass to Maclin.

The big story of the first half is the health of Dallas QB Tony Romo, who exited the game after the Cowboys' first drive when he banged his throwing hand against the helmet of Eagles DE Jason Babin. The x-rays on Romo's hand came back negative, and he looked jovial on the sidelines despite his hand being severely swollen.

He was replaced by back up Stephen McGee, who has been efficient but not spectacular, going 11-14 for 91 yards in the half. The Cowboys running game, which has fallen on the shoulders of an injured Felix Jones and Sammy Morris, only gained 47 yards in the half.

For both the Cowboys and the Eagles, tonight's game is essentially meaningless. The New York Giants' victory today over the New York Jets eliminated the Eagles from playoff contention, and set up a play-in game between the Giants and Cowboys in Week 17, regardless of the outcome of today's Eagles-Cowboys game.
