Kevin Kolb Rumors: Adam Schefter Says Kolb Most Likely Headed To NFC West

ESPN's Adam Schefter said on NFL Live this week that he believes the Eagles will trade Kevin Kolb when the lockout is lifted and that "all signs point to Arizona" as his likely destination.

"I think that when the lockout is lifted, there's no doubt that the Philadelphia Eagles are going to trade Kevin Kolb. I think at this point in time, it's fairly certain that he's going to wind up in the NFC West. Right now, all signs point to Kevin Kolb somehow finding his way to Arizona, which would make Larry Fitzgerald very happy, which would make the Cardinals an instant contender in the NFC West, and it would make them the team that they were a couple of years ago when Kurt Warner was playing quarterback, rather than last year when they had the quarterback carousel.

The Cardinals were seen as a QB needy team heading into the 2011 NFL draft and they were one of the few teams who did not select a QB. So it's almost certain that they will go after a QB once the lockout is over, but it remains to be seen whether they'll "go all in" on a guy like Kolb, or opt for a stop gap solution like Mark Bulger in hopes of developing some of their young QBs like John Skelton or Max Hall.
