Michael Vick left little doubt that he would be on the field this Sunday against the 49ers when he told reporters "I will be out there on Sunday, regardless. There is a 100% chance I'm playing."

Michael Vick left little doubt that he would be on the field this Sunday against the 49ers when he told reporters "I will be out there on Sunday, regardless. There is a 100% chance I'm playing." Vick got good news earlier this week when it was revealed that he had only suffered a contusion to his hand and not a fracture as was originally diagnosed. Vick was practicing today with a glove on his hand, which would appear to be a sign that the swelling is going down.

Vick was injured in the third quarter of last week's game against the Giants when, as he claimed, he was hit late after a throw. His right (non throwing) hand was cut and he actually went to the locker room for x-rays, but he actually did not miss any plays and was back on the field for the next series. However, the hand would swell up, the x-rays showed a fracture (that was later found to just be a blood vessel) and Vick was pulled from the game.

So unlike last week there will be no "will he or won't he" guesswork as to whether Vick will play. He has declared himself ready to go.
