The Philadelphia Eagles have a week to rest while other teams face pivotal showdowns.

Week 7 of the NFL is chock full of terrific games, including an NFC East contest featuring the Washington Redskins and New York Giants on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

While the Philadelphia Eagles have the week off, New York and Washington will do battle to see just where the balance of power lies. The Redskins have much to prove but look impressive thus far. Washington appears formidable once again behind the duo of Robert Griffin III and Mike Shanahan.

Of course, the Giants are coming off a 26-3 pounding of the San Francisco 49ers last weekend and don't have a bad combo themselves in Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin.

Around the league, a few other affairs stand out including the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium. Baltimore will be without Lardarius Webb and Ray Lewis for the first time this year, with both being out for the remainder of the season.

On Monday night, the NFC North takes center stage with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears tangling at Soldier Field.
