2012 NFL Mock Draft: Luke Kuechly Again Projected To Philadelphia Eagles

For Philadelphia Eagles fans, NFL Mock Drafts are starting to become a little repetitive -- 60 percent of the time, the Eagles are projected to select former Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly every time.

Ryan Van Bibber became the latest analyst to project Kuechly to the Eagles in SB Nation's most recent 2012 NFL Mock Draft. Philadelphia will almost certainly look to upgrade its linebacking corps, and Kuechly is the safest and most established linebacker prospect in the draft.

This pick is a perfect match of need and talent for the Eagles, who really missed a strong tackler and instinctive leader as the linchpin of their defense. Kuechly provides all of that, and should upgrade Philly's defense immediately. Again, free agency could change this pick, if the Eagles opt for a more experienced veteran to fill the void.

Kuechly is a 6-foot-3, 237-pound inside linebacker who makes up for a lack of elite athleticism using instincts unmatched by anyone else who played in the NCAA in 2011. Rated the No. 19 prospect on the National Football Post's NFL Draft Big Board, Kuechly finished with 532 career tackles at Boston College, setting an ACC record.
