The Philadelphia Eagles could be in the running to acquire safety Yeremiah Bell.

The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports that Bell, who was released by the Miami Dolphins last week, has drawn interest from the Eagles. The Dolphins are also expected to maintain contact with Bell, and could look to bring him back.

Bell, 34, has spent eight seasons in the NFL, all with the Miami Dolphins. The 2009 Pro Bowler, who was originally drafted by the Dolphins in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Eastern Kentucky, had 107 tackles during the 2011 season to go along with two sacks, one interception and four passes defensed.

For his entire career, Bell has 560 tackles, 11 sacks, six interceptions and 43 passes defensed.
