The Philadelphia Eagles have signed rookie free agent guard Alfred McCullough and released center Zane Taylor, the team announced on Thursday.

McCullough started his career at Alabama as a defensive lineman, but moved to the offensive side of the ball after his freshman year. He was a backup for most of his time at Alabama but started several games during his senior year, including the national championship, due to injuries.

Taylor signed with the Eagles in November of 2011, but did not play a single game with the organization.

One of the higher-profile Philadelphia Eagles rookies, Mychael Kendricks, has spent the team's rookie camp impressing coaches. Andy Reid said he and the rest of the staff aren't sure whether Kendricks will start on opening day, but have been impressed by his athleticism, versatility and pass-rushing ability.
