NFL Supplemental Draft 2012: Eagles Scouting Baylor WR Josh Gordon

Baylor WR Josh Gordon is being scouted by the Eagles heading into Thursday's NFL Supplemental Draft.

The Philadelphia Eagles aren't about to stand pat after such a disappointing 8-8 finish last year.

According to sources, the team is giving Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon a good long look heading into Thursday's NFL Supplemental Draft.

Gordon is a physical specimen at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, with good speed to boot. However, he does come with some baggage including being suspended for the entire 2011 season after violating team policy.

In his pro day on Tuesday, Gordon ran a somewhat surprisingly average 4.52 40-yard dash. Reports were that he may have injured his quad slightly in the process, obviously slowing him down.

Most people are speculating around the league that it will take giving up a third round pick to nab Gordon, and possibly even a second round selection.

Opinions on Gordon are wide ranging, but some experts have said he's more talented than his ex-teammate Kendall Wright, who was selected 20th overall by the Tennessee Titans in April.

Perhaps Andy Reid wants to add another weapon Philadelphia's arsenal.
