Correll Buckhalter Joins Eagles As Coaching Intern

Stay connected for news and updates

Correll Buckhalter is back in the NFL, except this time he'll be on the sideline permanently. One of the most interesting notes as the Philadelphia Eagles rookies filtered into Lehigh for the start of training camp was that Buckhalter would be a coaching intern this season helping Duce Staley manage the running backs.

Greg Lewis will also be joining the coaching staff, though Bleeding Green Nation points out that he won't be coaching wide receivers to the relief of Eagles fans.

Buckhalter played with the Eagles from 2001 to 2008, and retired as a member of the Denver Broncos in 2010. He racked up 2,944 yards rushing, 1,410 yards receiving and 27 total touchdowns in his 10 season in the league. Buckhalter averaged 4.5 yards per carry.
