Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Michael Vick left Monday night's 27-17 victory over the New England Patriots with a rib injury suffered in the middle of the first quarter, and the blow could lead to the signal caller sitting out the remainder of the preseason. That was the possible scenario tossed out by head coach Andy Reid after his team's second preseason victory.

"Listen, if he didn't play again (in the preseason) then he'd be OK," Reid said. "I would tell you I'd probably like to see him play a little bit more, but he's got enough experience. We're not talking about a rookie. I think he'll probably be OK."

The biggest influence on whether or not Vick will return for the preseason is time, and Philadelphia doesn't have a lot of that as it plays Friday at the Cleveland Browns. The Eagles' final preseason contest, a game starters usually do not play in, will be against the visiting New York Jets, Sept. 30.
