Babin, who missed the preseason with a calf injury, is expected to suit up for the Eagles when they travel to Cleveland to face the Browns in Week 1. Babin suffered the injury in July and was initially expected to miss just a week, but ended up sitting out the entire preseason.
His return for the season opener is a big boost for the Eagles, as Babin led the team in sacks last year with 18. He is one of the NFL's best pass rushers, racking up 30.5 sacks over the last two seasons. With Babin back at defensive end opposite Trent Cole, Philadelphia will begin the season with one of the NFL's top pass rushing duos.
While he might be rusty from the long layoff, Babin is at least healthy telling reporters he is "98.9 percent" healthy.
