This week, things seem to be settling down. Not as much movement this week as prior weeks, while the Bruins and Canucks are running away in their respective Conferences.
Oh, and the Oilers and Islanders combined to get 13 out of a possible 14 points last week. Odd.
|This Week||Last Week||
|1||1||The Bruins put distance between themselves and the Flyers despite getting 3 out of 6 points, largely due to the Flyers slump.||1.823|
|2||2||Philadelphia only got two points out of a possible eight last week, and those two game against the Oilers. Time to right the ship.||1.564|
|3||3||The Penguins won in regulation for the first time in over a month. Yet they are still within striking distance due to the Flyers slump.||1.298|
||Montreal moved up this week thanks largely to scoring four goals in three straight games on their way to getting all six possible points.
||The Capitals won all three games last week even though it took a shootout over Tampa. They're again on top of the Southeast Division.
||Buffalo moved up despite only getting 5 out of 8 points. They now sit one point up on Carolina for 8th place in the Conference.
||The Lightning fell here, as they only got 1 point out of a possible 8. Somehow, they are still in a virtual tie atop the Southeast Division.
||New York spanked the Flyers 7-0, but their position in the East is still a precarious 7th.
||The Hurricanes only played twice last week, and they needed overtime to beat the Sabres. Not how to move up in the standings.
||Toronto got 5 of 8 possible points, but are still four points out of the playoffs with one more game played.
||The Thrashers lost to Ottawa last week. Enough said.
||Florida lost to the Thrashers last week. But Tomas Vokoun beat the Blackhawks, so... cool.
||The Devils are two games below .500, yet there is still talk of them making the playoffs. Just. Stop.
|14||14||New York got 7 out of a possible 8 points last week. Impressive.||0.694|
|15||15||The Senators beat both the Devils and Thrashers last week. Cool.||0.581|
