Philadelphia split the first two games of the trip, edging the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 in overtime on Tuesday but falling 2-0 to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. The NHL reviewed a Scott Hartnell penalty from the latter game to determine whether he deserved discipline, but ruled that his hit on Magnus Paajarvi did not merit a fine or suspension.
Calgary has lost back-to-back affairs, including a 4-3 shootout loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday. After skating to a 3-3 tie, the Flames could not net a goal during the shootout and Miikka Kiprusoff -- who made 26 saves -- allowed a Ray Whitney goal that gave Phoenix the victory.
