Flyers Vs. Devils Final Score: Flyers Lose, 6-4

The Philadelphia Flyers saw their five game streak with a point snapped as they were beaten by the New Jersey Devils by a final score of 6-4. The final score isn't a clear indicator of how badly the Flyers were beaten by the Devils today – the Devils scored six unanswered goals to begin the game and led 6-0 after two periods. The Flyers scored four goals in the third period to make it interesting.

The Flyers out-shot the Devils 41-31, won 12 more faceoffs and had the same number of penalty minutes with 25. The area where Philadelphia struggled in was giveaways; they gave the puck up 11 times, compared to only two for the Devils. Four of the Devils six goals were scored on power plays and one was short-handed.

The Flyers next game is on Sunday, in New York, against the Rangers.
