Flyers Vs. Bruins Score Update: Flyers Down 2-0 After One

Stay connected for news and updates

Philadelphia Flyers goalie, Ilya Bryzgalov, entered Saturday's against the Boston Bruins as arguably the hottest goaltender going in the National Hockey League, having won seven consecutive games. During his personal seven game winning streak Bryzgalov has allowed less than one goal per game, with a save percentage of .964. He also set a franchise record for most consecutive minutes without allowing a goal.

However; Bryzgalov's hot streak may be coming to an end because he has already allowed two Boston Bruins' goals in the first period of Saturday's game. He's saved only 11 of the 13 shots attempted against him, for a .846 save percentage. Both goals were scored with both teams at full strength.

Boston leads the faceoff battle thus far, 17 to 9. The Bruins have also been the more aggressive team, attempting six more shots and racking up eight extra hits.
