Flyers Vs. Senators Score Update: Flyers Trail 3-0 After First Period

Coming off a 7-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs two nights ago, the Flyers are well on their way to being on the other end of a lopsided victory on Saturday, as they trail the Ottawa Senators, 3-0, after one period of action.

The Flyers have actually out-shot the Senators, 15-12, but Philadelphia's goalie, Sergei Bobrovsky, saved only nine of the 12 Senators' first period shots, for an abysmal save percentage of .750. The Senators have out-hit the Flyers 17-11 and taken the puck away three more times. Both teams are 0-2 on power play opportunities.

Wayne Simmonds of the Flyers and Daniel Alfredsson of the Senators are tied for a game-high four shots on goal. Alfredsson has a goal and an assist to go along with his game-high four shots. The other two Senators goals were scored by Jason Spezza and Chris Neal.
