The Philadelphia Flyers earned their fourth straight win on Thursday night, thrashing the Florida Panthers 5-0 at the Wells Fargo Center.
Brayden Schenn opened the scoring in the first period and the Flyers added two more in the second. Matt Read and Scott Hartnell both hit the back of the net in period two as Philadelphia opened a commanding 3-0 lead.
Jaromir Jagr only added to Florida's dismay in the third period, banging home a power play tally at 2:35, and Eric Wellwood concluded the scoring at 18:33.
Ilya Bryzgalov continued his stellar netminding of late for Philadelphia, saving 28 shots in the shutout. Claude Giroux and Danny Briere each had two assists.
