The Flyers will look to take a 3-0 lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Philadelphia Flyers lead their series with the Pittsburgh Penguins, 2-0, winning two road games in impressive fashion. Game one, they dug themselves an early hole and trailed the Pens 3-0 after one period, before roaring back to win in overtime. In game two, they dug themselves an early hole once again – trailing 2-0 – but went on to out-score the Pens, 7-2, in the final two periods.
Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux led the way with three goals a piece. Giroux added three assists; Coutirier had one.
Game three is scheduled for Sunday, when the series heads to Philadelphia. By winning the first two games on the road, they own a distinct advantage in the series.
