2012 NHL Mock Draft: Slater Koekkoek Linked To Flyers

Stay connected for news and updates

With the NHL Draft just a day away now, the mock drafts are at a premium and SB Nation's own Defending Big D blog projects the Philadelphia Flyers selecting Slater Koekkoek.

Koekkoek is an 18-year-old Canadian playing in the Ontario Hockey League. He was a first round selection of the Peterborough Petes in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection and won a world gold medal last year in the under-17 competition.

This is what Big D had to say about the potential Koekkoek selection of the Flyers:

The flyers could have the real steal of the first round here picking up a talented potential top pairing defenseman. It helps add strength and point production to their blueline.
