Phillies Vs. Rays: Game 1 Postponed, Rescheduled For Day-Night Double Header On Sunday

Stay connected for news and updates

Game 1 of the three game series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays was rained out Friday night, called off after fans waited three hours in the rain, attempting to wait through a delay that wouldn't end. The weather alternated between steady rain and severe thunderstorms. A revised start time of 8:45p.m. was announced at one point, and both teams had their pitchers warming up in the bullpens. Minutes before 8:45, though, the rain started back up again and a little more than an hour later the game was called.

A day-night doubleheader will take place on Sunday, with the first game taking place at 1:05p.m. and the second being played at 6:35p.m.
