The Philadelphia Phillies have never lost a series to the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citizen Bank Park, and the trend could continue Tuesday night (7:05 p.m. ET on Comcast Sports Network) if the Phils' are able to collect a victory in Game 2 of the four-game series.
A night after downing its visitors, 8-3, the Phillies (35-40) turn to Vance Worley to keep things moving in the right direction. Worley (3-4, 2.78 ERA) is looking to snap his own two-game losing streak, which has featured him actually pitching well -- just three earned runs allowed.
The match-up against the Pirates' starting pitcher Erik Bedard could be the answer to Worley's run-support problems. Bedard (4-7) has struggled recently away from home allowing 16 runs and 19 hits in his last three road starts.
