The Philadelphia Phillies will try to get back above .500 on Tuesday night with rookie Tyler Cloyd on the mound.

The Phils opened their series against the Mets on Monday with a 3-1 win. Cliff Lee was dealing on the mound, cruising through eight innings and striking out 10. Cloyd will get the ball for his fifth start of the season, and his second against the Mets. The rookie hurler made his MLB debut against New York at the end of August, pitching seven innings and giving up three earned runs in a hard-luck loss.

The Phillies are just 6-10 against the rival Mets this season. One of those losses came at the hands of Matt Harvey, who will go for New York in Game 2. Like Cloyd, Harvey is a rookie who was called up in the second half of the season. He's making his ninth start on Tuesday, posting a 3-5 record and 2.92 ERA to this point. He's coming off a dynamic five-inning, 10-strikeout performance against the Nats.

With the Cardinals idle, the Phillies' win on Monday cut the deficit in the Wild Card to 3½ games. St. Louis will host the lowly Astros on Tuesday.

First pitch from Citi Field is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET with PHL 17 carrying the broadcast.
