Two Major League Soccer cellar-dwellers meet Saturday when the Philadelphia Union visit Toronto FC.
The two least-successful Major League Soccer teams this season face off at BMO Field this afternoon when the Philadelphia Union visit Toronto FC. (Game Time: 4:30 p.m. ET, TV Schedule: CSN)
Toronto FC sits in last place in the league after running its pointless streak to nine games to begin the season. The Union have fared better, but not much, securing eight points over 10 games for the league's second-worst record.
Toronto's poor start has even started a debate within the team about whether it is presently the world's worst soccer team.
"Name me one team in the whole world that is 0-9," said striker Danny Koevermans. "That's what I was referring to - that there is not one team in the world who have lost nine times in a row."
"I can say we're the worst team in the world but it's harder to say we're the worst team in the world and do something about it," said Toronto defender Adrian Cann. "Actions speak louder than words."
