The Philadelphia Union are playing their eighth game in 24 days after competing in five Major League Soccer games and two U.S. Open Cup matches before Wednesday's international friendly against Aston Villa. Union interim managers John Hackworth says it will be an interesting game, but don't expect to see the same team that's won three straight MLS games.

The Union play an away game against division rival New York Red Bulls on Sunday, so while most of the roster will be available, starters are unlikely to see action against Aston Villa.

It will be an opportunity for other players who haven't been on the field much to show what they can do. This quote from Hackworth, via Phillysoccernews.com:

"They are guys that deserve it. I am excited to see some of the young guys who haven't been playing, but who have been working so hard in training and have really pushed the guys that have been on the field to do some of the things that we have done. They deserve their chance and they are certainly going to get their opportunity tomorrow night."

The list of international standouts on Aston Villa's roster features Irish goalkeeper Shay Given, English striker Darren Bent, and U.S. National Teamers Eric Lichaj and Brad Guzan.

Wednesday's match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
