Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

Philly.com Sports: With the Philadelphia Eagles season continuing in a downward spiral, the team dismissed another employee. This time, public relations spokesperson Rob Zeiger was relieved of his duties on Wednesday.

The corporate PR post with the Eagles has a troubled history, with several people coming and going over the last half-decade. The team has an entire department devoted to football media services, separate from the corporate spokesman. Traditionally, the corporate spokesman was a media liasion for former team president Joe Banner, who hired Zeiger away from the Amway Corporation in 2011.

Les Bowen explains more about the move at Philly.com Sports.
