Temple Owls Vs. Bowling Green Score Update: Temple Shut Out in First Half

Temple entered today's game against Bowling Green as a heavy favorite, having blown out their previous two opponents by a combined score of 76-0. Bowling Green is coming off three straight losses in which they have had serious problems stopping the run – Temple's biggest strength. At first glance it looked like a recipe for disaster for the Bowling Green Falcons, but they hold a slim 3-0 lead at halftime.

Temple recorded 92 total rushing yards in the first half, but are only averaging 3.7 yards per carry – down from their season average of five yards per carry.

Neither team has a turnover, but Temple has made more mistakes. They had six penalties for 60 yards in the first half – some of which killed potential scoring drives. Bowling Green has no penalties thus far.

Temple's leading rusher Bernard Pierce has 79 yards on 12 carries in the first half, but he hasn't received any help from his teammates. Temple quarterback Chester Stewart has completed only three passes for 29 yards, and backup running back Matt Brown has six carries for only 15 yards.

The second half of this game can be found on ESPN 3. Temple will receive the kickoff.
