Stay connected for news and updates

One of the nation's biggest recruiting classes just got a little bigger. The Temple Owls picked up three more commitments this weekend, according to various reports.

According to Scout.com, Temple signed two-star athlete Khalif Herbin (Montclair, NJ), who also was being recruited by Akron, Buffalo and Delaware.

The Owls added a pair of recruits from Maryland, Rivals.com reports. Wide receiver / defensive back Nate Hairston (Frederick, Md., Governor Thomas Johnson) and  outside linebacker Avery Williams (Baltimore, Md., Archbishop Curley) reportedly signed to play at Temple next season.

Temple finished the regular season 8-4, good enough to earn a berth in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl against Wyoming on Saturday, Dec. 17. The Owls enter their bowl game streaking after consecutive wins against Miamo of Ohio, Akron and Kent State, relying heavily on the running tandem of Bernard Pierce and Matt Brown.
