Stay connected for news and updates

The 8-4 Temple Owls are playing in only their fourth Bowl game in school history and are in search for their first post-season victory in over 30 years. After one quarter of play in the New Mexico Bowl the Owls lead the 8-4 Wyoming Cowboys by a score of 7-0 and are threatening to make it 14-0 when the second quarter begins.

The Owls have out-gained the Cowboys 152 to 39 thus far, led by their potent rushing attack, which already has already surpassed 100 yards on 17 carries. One of the nation's leading rushers, Bernard Pierce, has carried the ball eight times for 39 yards and a touchdown. He's averaged 126 rushing per game this season.

The remainder of the game can be seen on ESPN and ESPN3. Temple will begin the second quarter with possession of the football.
