Temple Vs. Delaware: Owls Win Three In A Row After Beating Blue Hens In Close Game

The Temple Owls (9-3) squeaked out a close win on the road against the Delaware Fighting Blue Hens (5-6) after trailing at half time by one point. They outscored the Blue Hens in the second half to come away with a narrow 66-63 win in Bob Carpenter Center Acierno Arena.

The Owls were led by junior forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson's 13 points and freshman center Anthony Lee's 12 points. Four of Temple's five starters were able to score at least 10 points in the game. The Fighting Blue Hens were unable to spread their scoring around like Temple did. They had only two players with double digit points, and one starter. They were led by sophomore guard Devon Saddler, who scored a game high 18 points. Junior forward Kelvin McNeil came off the bench to add 13 points. The most any other player Delaware players scored after McNeil was eight points.

The Owls hope that their three-game winning streak will give them momentum heading into their game at home against the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday night. The Blue Hens will look to rebound at home against the North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks on Monday.
