Rob Christy-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Temple Owls will look to stay undefeated in the Big East against the UConn Huskies on Saturday afternoon.

The Temple Owls will hit the road to take on the UConn Huskies on Saturday afternoon at Rentschler Field.

Temple (2-2, 1-0) won it's first conference game 37-26 against the South Florida Bulls last weekend, proving to some doubters that it can hang with the Big East competition. The Owls rushed for 216 yards in the contest and scored 28 points in the second half to put South Florida away for good.

Senior running back Matt Brown has led the way on the ground for Temple, amassing 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 45 carries.

UConn (3-3, 0-1) has alternated wins and losses the entire season and is coming off of a defeat against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The Huskies couldn't get anything going offensively, scoring only three points and gaining 244 total yards.

The worst part of the game for UConn was committing five turnovers, four of which coming on Chandler Whitmer interceptions.
