Seven weeks into the 2012 college football season, the Big East is still wide open at the top. Rutgers and Temple are the only two undefeated teams in conference action that have played more than one conference game. Syracuse and Connecticut are both in the mix, but the class of the league seems to be right above them. South Florida and Pittsburgh look to be the bottom-feeders of this conference.
Temple, while 3-2 overall, still has an opportunity to be the class of the Big East.
