Cincinnati is rolling through the Temple defense while the Owls' rushing attack has been unable to get anything going.

Cincinnati has successfully bottled up the Temple Owls' offense and rushing attack in the first half on Sunday, building a 24-3 lead as the teams went into the locker room. Temple is averaging just 3.1 yards per carry, with Montel Harris struggling to find much running room against the Bearcats defense.

Cincinnati's offense, on the other hand, has gashed Temple both on the ground and through the air. Brendon Kay, a fifth-year senior, got the nod under center for UC for his first career start. He's six of nine in the first half for 138 yards, and has also rushed three times for 46 yards. George Winn has done the grunt work on the ground for Cincy, but he's been rewarded with two carries from the one that resulted in touchdowns.

The Bearcats' other touchdown was dramatically different from Winn's one-yard punch-ins. As the first quarter was coming to a close, Kay fired a pass to Kenbrell Thompkins and the speedy wideout took it to the house for a 75-yard touchdown.

Cincinnati will get the kickoff to start the second half. Temple will need to force a quick three-and-out and get their offense moving early in the third quarter if they want to have a shot at the comeback.
