2012 Big East Football Standings: Temple near cellar of conference

The Temple Owls struggled in their first season back in the Big East conference.

The Temple Owls football team finished their first year back in the Big East conference with a record of 2-5 and an overall record of 4-7. The team completed the year with four consecutive losses against conference opponents, each of which was decided by a margin of at least 18 points.

The South Florida Bulls were the only team to finish with a worse record than Temple. Louisville managed to steal the conference crown with a victory against Rutgers at the end of November.
