NCAA Tournament Predictions 2012: Temple Owls Predicted To Be March Madness Upset Victims

Stay connected for news and updates

Are the Temple Owls ripe for an upset? SB Nation's Bill Connelly believes so, asserting in his 2012 NCAA Tournament predictions that the No. 12 California Bears will oust No. 5 Temple in the first round in the Midwest Region.

Connelly thinks the region's top four seeds -- No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Kansas, No. 3 Georgetown and No. 4 Michigan -- will all reach the Sweet 16, predicting that Kansas will beat Michigan in the Elite Eight for the right to move onto the Final Four.

Temple did not impress Connelly enough to advance out of his first round, but the Owls did earn one of his awards: the region's most overrated team. Yikes.
