Villanova concludes its regular season against Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon.
Finally getting healthy, the Villanova Wildcats look to enter the Big East Tournament on a high note by ousting Cincinnati in their regular season finale Saturday at 2 p.m. (ESPN)
With Maalik Wayns and JayVaughn Pinkston both healthy again, Villanova snapped a four-game skid by edging Rutgers 77-71 on Thursday. Wayns and Pinkston paved the way with 18 points each, Dominic Cheek added 15, and Mouphtaou Yarou pitched in 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Cincinnati has won four out of five, including an impressive 72-61 victory against Marquette on Wednesday. Jaquon Parker paced the Bearcats with a career-high 28 points and Dion Dixon pitched in 21 on senior day at Fifth Third Arena. Cincinnati prevailed despite just 15 combined points by leading scorers Yancy Gates and Sean Kilpatrick.
