Philadelphia Union midfielder Roger Torres beat out Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher J.C. Romero and catcher Carlos Ruiz to win the “Best Hispanic Professional Athlete” award at the Hispanic Choice Awards Ceremony Thursday night.

Roger Torres really is a fun young player, but there’s no way in hell he should be winning the best Hispanic athlete in Philadelphia award. Not after the year Ruiz has had.
