The Flyers and Penguins renew their rivalry once against tonight, this time it's in Pittsburgh at the CONSOL Energy Center. The Flyers beat the Penguins in the first game of the season on the night Pittsburgh debuted it's new arena. The Pens got their revenge a little over a week later when they pummeled the Flyers 5-1 in Philadelphia. So far this season the two teams expected to be powers in the Eastern Conference have been a bit underwhelming. The Flyers come in to this one with a record for 4-4-1 while Pittsburgh has been only slightly better at 5-4-1.
Marc-Andre Fleury gets the start in net tonight for the Penguins, it's his first start at home in almost three weeks. The Flyers will counter with rookie goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, who made his first start of the season in PIttsburgh and shined. Coach Peter Laviolette said his performance in Pittsburgh in the first game of the season won him the starting job tonight.
