The Washington Wizards will have their 2010-11 home opener on Tuesday night versus the Philadelphia 76ers. If you happen to be a Sixers fan in the area, you might want to stop by because as the DC Sports Blog points out the tickets are the second cheapest on average for a home opener in the entire NBA. The average seat in DC is going for $59.
↵To put that in perspective, the average price for a seat to the opener between the Celtics and Heat was $385! The DC Sports blog has a few good reasons why the Wizards home opener is not particularly a hot ticket.
↵↵1) It’s the night of mid-term elections, and we live in a city where that’s kind of important.
↵2) Aside from that, it’s also a Tuesday night.
↵3) The game features the Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers, who combined to finish 58 games under .500 in 2009.
